The Boat

Our Boat

Our boat is a 1981 C&C Landfall 48. We call her Haicu...not Haiku, which is what most people think when we tell them the name. We are not sure of the origin of the name but the very first owner of this boat thought Haicu would make a lovely name. She was once "Between the Sheets" when Mike initially purchased her and then was changed to "Grass Roots".  There are some pretty crazy events that happened after the boat name change, from almost sinking, almost catching on fire, and a gnarly storm ( Mike tells them wonderfully) - We are convinced that this boat was meant to be named Haicu, and who are we to mess with what is meant to be?

The Landfall 48 is a superb cruiser. She is fast, seaworthy and has a raised deck salon/pilothouse and inside second steering station with full engine controls. This boat is ideal for the liveaboard cruiser and provides ample room and A LOT of storage.
