How did we get here? on this boat?
Mike and I met in high school during our junior year. He says that he saw the "redhead" walking to and from class every morning before we ever met. We spent a great 2 years together and boy were they fun! Long drives across the United States, rainy camping trips to West Virginia, and plane rides to the ocean for dinner. We were both very goal driven and when Mike moved to Park City, Utah for Skywest, I stayed in Maryland for college. With broken hearts we parted ways and went on to pursue our goals. It does not matter how many times you are told, "If it's meant to be, it'll be" - it always hurts. On with our lives we both went; little did we know that we would end up on Haicu working together to make this dream come true.
It was July 25th 2009 when I checked my email and sipped my coffee, just as I did every morning.
This was in my inbox:

Even after 4 years of being apart, we both were still holding on. A plane would fly over and I would always look up and wonder what Mike was up to. When we met for coffee at City Dock Cafe on October 28, 2009 and I saw Mike again for the first time in over 4 years....I just knew he was the one. We just picked up where we left off...a little older, a little wiser, and ready to tackle life's adventures together.
I quickly fell into Haicu and began helping Mike with the refit and the dream to cruise around the world. We eloped to Newport, Rhode Island on November 10,2010 and have not looked back since. We are in this together and could not be happier fixing up our wonderful old boat.
